Eid-ul-Azha is the second and most important biggest religious festival all over the world for all Muslims country and also Bangladesh. It is a festival of sacrifice. It is celebrated annually on the 10th day of the 12th and the last month of Islamic calendar (Jilhajj). After the 70 days of the holy Ramadan and the end of the Hajj, Muslims throughout the world and also Bangladesh celebrate the holiday of Eid-ul-Azha. Every year this festival comes in Bangladesh with great excitement like Eid-ul-Fitr. In this day, Qurbani or sacrifice is Wajib. So, lots of people

Eid-ul-Azha was started in the era of Hazrat Ibrahim (Abraham) alaihim assalaam, who had been asked by Almighty Allah to sacrifice his dearest son Hazrat Ismail alaihim assalaam. Allah was satisfied by Hazrat Ibrahim alaihim assalaam's sincere intent and ordered him to sacrifice an animal in place of his son. As a result, every year Muslim of the whole world remember the willingness of Hazrat Ibrahim alaihim assalaam's sacrifice. The holy Quran states about this Eid-ul-Azha that, "Surely Abraham was an example, obedient to Allah, by nature upright, and he was not of the polytheists. He was grateful for our bounties. We chose him and guided him unto a right path. We gave him good in this world, and in the next he will most surely be among the righteous."[16:120-121]

"It is not their meat or their blood that reaches Allah; it is your piety that reaches Him (Allah).”[22:37]
In the morning of the day most of the Bengali people go to Eid Gha or Masjid for prayer with Jamat like other Muslim country. Men, women, and children are well dress up for the performing of the Eid Salat. The Salat of the Eid-ul-Azha is Wajib and it performed an open place of field or big road. This Salat is performed in different times but in the morning. After praying they sacrifice their animal for the satisfaction of Allah. Cow, Camel, Goat, Sheep etc. are approved by the Islam for the Qurbani. But the animal has reached the required age. The adult age is: 2 years for a cow, 5 years for a camel, 1 year for a goat or lamb and 6 months for a sheep. But no defect or sick animal is approved for the Qurbani.

After the Qurbani, most of the meet given away to others.
